Dr. Michael Trubetskov - Founder and CEO
Dr. Michael Trubetskov has more than 30 years experience in development and commercializing thin-film software. Michael has a strong international reputation as a distinguished outstanding expert in thin-film and numerical analysis. He is an author and co-author of more than 200 publications.
Michael Trubetskov developed OptiLayer Software from the very beginning. Michael enjoys programming!
Dr. Michael Trubetskov is winner of all recent design contests held in conjunction with the Optical Interference Coatings topical meetings of Optica (formerly OSA) since 2004. In 2022, Michael was co-organizer of the OIC design contest.

Dr. Tatiana Amochkina, CEO
Dr. Tatiana Amochkina has more than 20 years of expertise in thin-film optics, numerical analysis, scientific programming, data processing, and management. She has more than 90 publications. Starting from 2018, she is also a Topical Editor at Optics Letters journal.
Tatiana has hands-on experience in deposition optical coatings, measurements, and laser experiments with optical multilayers.
Tatiana had several successful scientific projects, among them European Union's Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie research project, NZZ project with Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Croatia, DAAD project with the Laser Zentrum Hannover.

Caywan Office Inc., established in 2005, is engaged in the import and sales of software and providing technical consulting services for optical thin films.
Caywan Office Inc. is distribution partner of OTF Studio products in Japan.

Dr. James Oliver
Dr. James Oliver is founder and President of Vacuum Innovations. With over 30 years of experience in optical coating equipment, he brings a creative perspective that has allowed him to identify what works well for unique customers’ unique needs. With a great emphasis on reliability and ease of system maintenance. James was Vice-President of Research, Development, and Engineering during his time at EMF Corporation and later continued his higher education leading back to the University of Rochester as a Laboratory Scientist and Professor at the University of Rochester, Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE).
At LLE, as Laboratory Scientist he was responsible for coating high-value meter-scale optics for large laser systems. The focus of his work at LLE included advanced thin-film uniformity modeling and correction, improved laser damage threshold coatings, coatings for multi-layer dielectric diffraction gratings, and high-performance Brewster-angle polarizers. He was a professor of Optical Interference Coating Design at the University of Rochester's Institute of Optics and continues to teach at the annual Institute Thin-Film Summer School. Dr. Oliver has served in various capacities on conference committees and is a sought after lecturer on improving coating designs, processes, and equipment for companies and laboratories world-wide.

Mrs. Marcella Oliver
Mrs. Marcella Oliver the Director of Sales and Marketing at Vacuum Innovations. She holds a BBA in Management and Marketing from Stetson University and applies an innovative, business-driven approach to her role. With a strong focus on identifying and engaging niche customer segments, Marcella has been influential in developing strategies that address their unique needs.
Joining Vacuum Innovations in 2020 as an intern, Marcella contributed to a multi-million-dollar project by creating a comprehensive Microsoft Project schedule. She later returned to the company to enhance its marketing strategies, which had been established since 2007.
Today, Marcella leads all aspects of Vacuum Innovations’ media and promotional efforts. She oversees the creation of marketing materials, coordinates conference and trade show participation, and organizes workshops both in the U.S. and internationally for Dr. Oliver. Marcella is committed to continually expanding her knowledge in the optical coating industry to drive the company’s growth.
